The fine painter Marie Gill (Maria Gilipathi)

The artist - painter Marie Gill (Maria Gilipathi) studied from 1988 to 1993 in the laboratory of the Spanish painter Fernado Fenes.
Studying Ancient Greek Painting and the art of Fayum she discovered that Byzantine Iconography is directly related to the Ancient Greek Painting. Seeking ancient roots she studied Byzantine Iconography at The Hellenic Center of Art and Culture for 5 years, learning the portable icons and wall paintings (secco).
Also studied Art History at the Department of Liberal Studies CHRISTIE'S (1996-1997), and History and Art at The Archaeological Society of Athens (1996-1999)
She also traveled in to many museums in Europe and America to study the great artists for her own broadenings of knowledge.
At the Municipality of Zografou Cultural Centre she participated in an exhibition icons compositions (1999).
Marie also studied with the Spanish painter Fernado Fennes the art of oil painting, and the medieval painting with the Greek painter Panoutsopoulos watercolor.
The last 10 years she had undertaken several studies toward the ancient Greek and Tibetan Art.
